How have we helped?
In 2016 21st Century Leaders sponsored Kat Knight (former 21st Century Leaders Design Consultant) to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with her father David.
They chose to raise funds partly for the Mahadeva Suwamigal Children’s Home in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka because their mother Gillian volunteered at the orphanage earlier in the year and saw first-hand the desperate need to help improve the lives of these children.
About Mahadeva Suwamigal Children's Home
This home provides care and educational support to over 400 orphans who mostly lost their families in the brutal civil war. Some were severely injured and require acute medical care while a number still suffer trauma from their experiences and loss.
Money raised went towards the construction of a new Study Hall and educational, recreational resources that they so desperately need.
